Services.

Medication management and therapy.

Our providers have a wide array of experience treating a wide variety of issues, including: anxiety and panic attacks, depression, ADHD, personality and mood disorders, psychosis, sleep disorders including insomnia, trauma, PSTSD, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and more. Our holistic approach draws from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and solution focused brief therapy (SFBT). We have providers with many years of clinical practice working on inpatient psychiatry teams, crisis stabilization units, emergency department crisis evaluation, intensive outpatient care, among others, which has lead to our development of a well-rounded and pragmatic approach to mental health that is built on a foundation of compassion. At your appointment, you can expect to be heard, respected, and prioritized while we work together to identify solutions and treatments that can move you forward in your mental health journey.

Studies show that combining medication management with supportive therapy is the best way to achieve meaningful results. Medication alone is not ideal, although many folks go without therapy due to stigma, time restraints, and/or financial burdens. Therapy, with or without medications, often leads to mediocre improvements therefore clients need to be dedicated to lifestyle changes such as making self-care a priority. We encourage a combination of daily movement, yoga/meditation, a healthy and balanced diet, and good sleep hygiene.

step one

connect

Our first appointment includes a thorough 60 to 90-minute diagnostic evaluation, during which we discuss your reason for seeking treatment, goals, current/past medications (if any), medical history, social history and psychiatric history. Together, we will decide on a treatment plan that works for you.

step two

develop

We offer 15 to 20-minute follow-up appointments for medication management without supportive therapy. We will discuss your progress, any side effects, alternative options, and if we are moving in the direction that meets your expectations with your goals in mind. These appointments would generally complement your work with your individual therapist.

step three

grow

You may also choose 30, 45 or 60-minute follow-up appointments that include medication management plus brief, supportive therapy. These visits would allow the provider to get to know you on a more personal level, which often complements individual therapy and leads to better outcomes overall.

$150 - $250

“I have been through therapy and psychiatry since adolescence and Ashley McKenzie is by far the best psychiatric provider I have ever worked with. She not only talks with my therapist and checks in, but she is always up to date and suggestive with new med options/side effects, etc... She has been 100% understanding of any and all situational circumstances that may require switches or adjustments…She is extremely personable, relatable, professional, and patient.”

“And thank you again for fitting in my family friend into your practice with Mary last summer. She has such a new outlook on life and feels like a new person. Even her mother thinks she has turned a corner.  I do not think I am exaggerating when I say that you've saved her life.  She is delighted with Mary.  Thank you for giving hope and new life to so many people.”
